A feasibility study for Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru and Suriname

The objective of this feasibility study is to scope bioeconomy potential and finance demand in the shared Amazon landscapes of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru and Suriname in order to help determine the climate mitigation and adaptation benefits that could be delivered by the Amazon Bioeconomy Fund Program. The feasibility study provides an overview of the policy, climate change, economic, and socio-ecological context of the six target countries, coupled with evidence of the impacts of climate change and climate-induced risks associated with those changes, documenting existing opportunities to finance the initial steps of a transition towards a tree-based bioeconomy for the region.
