The partnership between the IDB and Bancóldex through the RENEWABLE ENERGY FINANCING PROGRAMME IN NON-INTERCONNECTED ZONES has successfully demonstrated that it is possible to provide access to financial resources under appropriate conditions, thus promoting the adoption of new renewable energy technologies hand in hand with local commercial banks. Six projects were implemented in the country’s non-interconnected areas, generating significant economic, social and environmental benefits.
