The Sol de Inírida project of the RENEWABLE ENERGY FINANCING PROGRAMME IN NON-INTERCONNECTED ZONES has made it possible to replace with solar energy about 20% of the energy previously generated with diesel, improving continuous access to electricity and reducing dependence on diesel, benefiting 32,100 inhabitants. The local community, including female technicians, was involved in the implementation of the project, and the student community was also integrated through the Reporteritos Programme.
