ALIDE and BANHPROVI, with the sponsorship of the Honduran Government, invited to the ALIDE 2023 Annual Meeting to be held at the Convention Center of the Copantl Hotel, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, from Wednesday, May 31 to Friday, June 2, 2023.

The central theme will be “Developing the intrinsic potential of Latin America and the Caribbean vis-à-vis the world: role and challenges of development banking”, which will be addressed with presentations by prominent personalities from the international and Latin American financial community, in order to analyze LAC’s potential to interact in the international economy with the various regions of the world and attract world-class investments and companies, mobilizing its own internal capacities and the capital of its nationals from abroad.

The program includes the “Role of public policies in attracting world-class investors”, “Emerging factors that are redefining world trade: opportunities for Latin America and the Caribbean” and “Financing infrastructure as a support for the region’s competitiveness in the world”.

In addition, the seminar “Central America in the World: Challenges and Opportunities” will be held to provide an overview of the situation and development potential of the Central American region, share experiences in financing, resource mobilization, knowledge and cooperation between the Central American Development Bank and its Latin American and Caribbean counterparts.

The event will also share with leading global investors topics of great relevance for the development of the region, such as international trade and topics aimed at building economies resilient to the new climate conditions: infrastructure and cities resilient to climate change, support for entrepreneurs, innovation in SMEs, sources of international financing and mobilization of private investment, regional interconnectivity, renewable energy and energy efficiency, and digital transformation.
