The 2023 edition of World Water Week (WWW) held by the end of August under the theme “Seeds of Change: Innovative Solutions for a Water-wise world”, brought together experts from all over the world to address water and sanitation challenges and provide valuable insights.

Within the event, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) coordinated the “Focus on the Americas” session, with the participation of experts from government agencies, public services, academia, the private sector, and international organizations with the aim of guiding efforts towards water conscious solutions and transformative change. The session included case studies, innovative methodologies, tools, and strategies that foster thriving ecosystems and successful platforms.

The hybrid program (online and face-to-face) consisted of 11 sessions, exhibitions, seminars, and interviews, among other activities, on topics such as innovative water sanitation and hygiene programs in Latin America, water financing, innovation for equal and inclusive water and sanitation services, and water effective governance.
