The Chilean Ministry of Finance has successfully issued a social bond in Chilean pesos equivalent to 2,200 million dollars, with a 10-year maturity and 5.80% annual rate. The operation has been carried out through the book-building modality with simultaneous offer in the local and international markets.

The placement was over-subscribed by 3 times the awarded amount, with offers from 78 investors, including a 57% participation of foreign investors (exceeding the record of 48% obtained in a similar operation carried out in 2020).

The resources obtained will be used to finance social projects, as defined in the Sustainable Bond Framework published by the Ministry of Finance in November 2020, and aligned with the standards developed by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA).
