CABEI issues green bond and ESG bond in the Swiss market

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) issued its second green bond in the Swiss market and its third ESG bond, for an amount equivalent to 158.6 million dollars in Swiss francs with a fixed rate of 1.5462% for a 4-year term.
The proceeds will be used to finance green projects and eligible assets under BCIE’s Green Bond Framework that comply with the Principles of the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA). Furthermore, will also contribute to creating a more resilient Central American region, as well as generating a positive impact on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
