The Distributed Solar Generation sector in Mexico has yet to consolidate itself as a mature market from the supply and demand side, which demands quality standards and offers competitiveness. An essential element for this is clear, reliable and accredited information on: products and services offered in the market, demand trends, system prices and operation and maintenance costs.

That is why on March 28, 2020 the three associations of the photovoltaic sector in the country: Mexican Association of Solar Energy (Asolmex), Mexican Association of the Photovoltaic Industry (AMIF) and National Association of Solar Energy (ANES), with the support of the German Cooperation for Sustainable Development in Mexico (GIZ) presented the first commercial information monitor and price index of Distributed Solar Generation (DSG) where some relevant data on relevant data for investment in this technology can be appreciated.
