IDB launches “Amazonia Forever” program to boost coordination for the region
The program seeks to expand financing, share strategic knowledge for decision makers, and improve regional coordination to accelerate the sustainable, inclusive, and resilient development of the Amazon region (including Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru and Suriname).
IDB Invest issues local currency bond in Paraguay to support sustainable development projects

French AFD grants financing for 99 million dollars to Mexican CFE for the first phase of a photovoltaic plant
The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) of Mexico has received financing from the French Development Agency (AFD) for the first phase of the Puerto Peñasco Photovoltaic Power Plant, to be located in the State of Sonora, with an installed capacity of 120 MW of renewable energy generation.

Enhanced cooperation between the two institutions aims to further strengthen combined efforts to identify and design reforms and provide capacity development in support of climate goals and can help attract such investments, including private capital.
